Leader Dahal, Home Minister Thapa visit Beni’s Galeshwor Temple

Beni, Nov 13 : Communist Party of Nepal (CPN)’s chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal today visited the Galeshwor Shibalaya Temple, the famous religious shrine in Myagdi district.

On the occasion, the former Prime Minister was accompanied by Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa.

The temple that sits on a large rock spreading on nine ropanis of land remains as a destination for religious tourism.
The two leaders were informed about historic importance of the temple and existing problems for its management by Galeshwor Shibalaya Area Development Trust chair Rudra Bahadur KC and temple priest Bhimnath Parajuli.

The temple serves as a gateway to Muktinath. Besides, leader Dahal and home minister Thapa inspected the 40-megawatt Rahughat Hydropower Project; Beni-Jomsom- Korola Road, and an area hit by land erosion by the Kaligandaki River.

Leader Dahal and Home Minister Thapa arrived here Monday with their spouses. Dahal’s spouse Sita and Thapa’s spouse Nainkala are here to take a bath at a hot water pond based in Beni municipality-4.

Beni is home to multiple natural hot water ponds which are taken as natural healing spots, as it is believed that various sorts of diseases including neurological are be cured by taking a bath in such water springs. Sita has been suffering from illness for a few years.
