Ghorahi, Feb 13 : Proceeds of approximately Rs nine million have been collected in course of the Mahayagya, a grand religious ceremony, held at Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City of Dang district.
The Sreemad Bhagawat Dhandhanyachanl Birat Nawah Gyan Mahayaga was organized to collect funds to launch vocational education programmes in Jayasher School at Rawat Gaun in the district.
Yesterday, a single family donated more than Rs 2 million becoming the highest donor. According to Mahayagya Director Rekh Bahadur Oli, Ghanashyan Oli and his family from Kamda in Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan city had donated Rs 20,011,111.
Similarly, Keshav Mahara of Bacha in the Sub-Metropolitan City donated Rs 680,000 while Jagabir Chaudhary of Chor Gaun Rs 561,000. The other big donors were Churna Bahadur Oli of Pannepur, Rewatadevi Yogi and Baldev Yogi among others provided above Rs 200,000 to the noble cause.
The chief speaker of the event, that kicked off from February 5 is Amrit Sharan Devacharya. The event concludes today. rss
